This is a photo of Kathy Flicker, a champion diver in the sixties. Why does her head seem to be separate from her body? This is an old trick from physics class : the light refracts differently in water than in air.

This picture of Kathy flicker Brought back old memories. I went to Dr. Flicker's house in Milburn, N.J. as a teenager with my trampoline coach Andy Pasinsky. We practiced triple back somersaults on her trampoline using her spotting belt. I was amazed at the things she other than diving that she did to be a champion.
